Congratulations to the Winner and Runner-Up of the 2024 Class of '55 Writing Contest!

​The department held its annual writing contest, and all entries were judged by three philosophy faculty looking for the BEST ARGUMENT in defense of the most INTERESTING ETHICAL VIEW.​

The winner (receiving a prize of $750) was:

The runner-up (receiving a prize of $500) was:

Henry Savage
"Snatching Objectivity from the Jaws of Moral Nihilism."

 
Thanks to all the students who submitted papers and to the faculty (Professors Draper, Koltonski, and Lee) who refereed the submissions.​
