Michael Szczechowski, Junior, Wins First Prize

The department would like to congratulate junior philosophy major Michael Szczechowski. Michael's essay, "Nagarjuna's Mulamadhyamakakarika: A Linguistic Interpretation," received first prize in the annual Asian philosophy essay competition sponsored by the Greater Philadelphia Philosophy Consortium. Started by Frank Hoffman at West Chester University, the annual competition is open to undergraduate students at the fifteen GPPC member institutions and awards a first prize of $300, a second prize of $200, and a third prize of $100. Well-done Michael!
