(B.A., SUNY Stony Brook; Ph.D., MIT) works in the areas of philosophy of language, epistemology, and action theory. His first book 'Knowledge and Practical Interests' (OUP, 2005) won the 2007 American Philosophical Association book prize. His fourth book, 'How Propaganda Works' (Princeton), was published in May.
