The Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Marist College hosted the Seventh Mid-Hudson Valley Undergraduate Philosophy Conference
November 4-5, 2016. Undergraduates were encouraged to submit papers on
any topic in philosophy and Amanda Shapiro and Marius Sander, two of our philosophy majors, each submitted papers that were accepted. Only six papers were accepted in total. The title of Amanda's paper is, "Killing is Only
Sometimes Worse Than Letting Die." The title of Marius' paper is, "The Desirability of Behaviorist Principles in Machine Intelligence
