Samantha Harris of the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education
(FIRE) delivered this fall semester’s David Norton Memorial Lecture on Friday, Sept. 16. Her talk was titled “Due Process and Sexual Misconduct on Campus."
Samantha discussed the increased attention given in recent years to
the issue of sexual misconduct on college campuses and the adjudication
procedures that institutions have developed for students accused of such
misconduct.
Harris joined FIRE in 2005 and is currently the group’s director of
policy research, focusing on policies affecting speech at colleges and
universities. She earned her law degree from the University of
Pennsylvania, where she served on the editorial board of the Journal of Constitutional Law.
